The CNR - Istituto di Nanotecnologia (NANOTEC) develops fundamental and applied research in the fields of nanoscience and nanotechnology. CNR-NANOTEC operates through its four research sites located in Lecce (headquarter), Bari, Roma and Rende.
The LECCE headquarter of CNR-NANOTEC is a multidisciplinary center for physics, chemistry, engineering, materials science, as well as biology and medicine. CNR-NANOTEC develops cutting-edge experimental techniques and modeling tools, in close collaboration with academic and industrial partners. The Institute was founded in 2015 and now hosts about 200 people. It can be framed into four fundamental platforms: Materials, Photonics and Optoelectronics, Nanobiotechnologies, and Advanced Devices.
