The three laboratories work as scientific partners in numerous collaborations with national and international research institutes; also provide services and advice to public centres and/or private entities.
The Electron Microscopy Laboratory (LAME) was established in 2022 and focuses its activities on advanced material characterization.
LAME scientific mission is to provide open access to advanced instrumentation in the field of electron microscopy in the field of materials science and nanotechnology applied to innovative materials with the aim of developing competitive research programs in collaboration with national and international academic insitutions and industry.

LAME laboratory is located in the Basovizza Campus: you can find LAME offices in Q building and the laboratory in Q1 building.

By plane: Trieste is served by Trieste airport, which has a direct train connection to Trieste central station (“TRIESTE AIRPORT” station). Also Venice and Treviso airports are also close.
